H&M collaboration with Comme des Garcons
Good news for the ones that love Comme des Garcons but don't have the money to afford it.
H&M has announced that COMME des GARÇONS’ founder and head designer Rei Kawakubo will be creating their next designer collection for this autumn. Rei Kawakubo will design a women’s and a men’s collection, with some pieces for children too. Accessories and an exclusive unisex fragrance will also be included in the collection. The world launch of the collection will be at the opening of H&M’s second store in Tokyo, Japan, in the beginning of November. Launch date for other H&M markets will be a few days later.

Tonight We Are Rocking Lisbon Again!
ENCHUFADA is introducing new music to the world. Macacos do Chines are the new members of the family. We just released their first cd single "Plutão" and to celebrate this we'll have a massive party tonight at Lux. The best club in Portugal and one of the best in Europe. Co-owned by John Malkovich and the guy that "invented" the lisbon night, Manuel Reis, showing the lisbon crowd how to club in style. We also gonna have a very good friend from London coming to party with us. The one and only Sinden. Happy New Year
I was thinking what would be my first post for '08, I wanted to write something full of hope, deep and poetic... Nothing crossed my mind beside shoes, sneakers in particularly. I discovered very recently that I'm addicted to kicks! is not that I'm obsessed with it but I'm committed to this 3 consuming pleasures. Vinyl records, glasses (50's to 70's) and sneakers. Here are some of the latest news from the wonderful world of sapatilhas (portuguese slang for sneakers)
DC Shoes in association with Subtext will present a special exhibition titled Kicks late next month. The event will include a series of customized sneakers from an extensive artist list
Here's a look at a new Nike Court Force which according to Colmilludo is inpsired by a famous fish market in Japan called Niji Ichiba or Nijo Market.
2007 was a great year for Supra. Many of their models were instant hits among the streetwear crowd especially the Skytops which stood out from the rest.

Beniko Tanaka... HAKA!
Haka! performances are a poetical challenge for us and the ones that make to our show start to know that all the performances we do are unique and we always try to go to new places and join other artistic forms into our recitals.
The last show we did, started with Hugo Antunes dropping one of his solo compositions. Beautiful and deep! During that me and Nástio went to the public and start telling secrets to some persons on the audience.
After that we went back to the stage and jumped on some intense social poetic slam, about our relation with europe or the relation of two african poets with the old continent.
After 25 minutes, we left the stage and started a tape with conversation that we pre-recorded in that afternoon about the concept behind the Lisboa Mistura Festival and the real meaning of this "mixed Lisbon" idea. 10 minutes passed and then Beniko walked into the stage dressing a traditional Japanese costume to announce the end of the show.

I would love that everybody could speak portuguese. Nástio is bringing some fresh ideas to this movement, some people like to call it lusophonia. I prefer to call it HAKA! somebody is doing it without waiting for the artistic salvation that sometimes the countries that don't speak English do.

Soul and Funk Nicole Wills and Soul Investigators
Just got back from Porto, a city in the north of Portugal, 3 hour by train from Lisbon. Went there with my poet partner. Nástio for a spoken word slam. Soon I will drop some images and sounds from that night. This words now are for the Soul Investigators. Soon I got out of the train I went to meet then and took them for lunch, in a plaza near my house, sun, fish, wine and beers, sometimes it's hard to believe that we are in the winter here in Lisbon. The youtube link is from Nicole Willis and the boys. Looking fwd to see them live tomorrow.
