We told you in our last newsletter that PAUS offered a bbq & gig to their fans and friends early this month. The band opened the garage where they rehearse and what a great ideia to showcase their newly EP “É UMA ÁGUA”. The sun was there, friends where there, rock & roll was there and of course… beer was there!!

If you’re a fan of Portuguese music and of what’s been hapening in the portuguese music scene you MUST check this new band: PAUS. Next monday July 5th the band will release their debut EP with 4 intense tracks. The Fader highlights “Mudo e Surdo” amazing video in the last Ghetto Palms post while interviewing Joao Barbosa. And this EP is our younger child. So, if you trust us you have to watch out PAUS!

PAUS “É UMA ÁGUA” EP OUT JUNE 21
According to the band itself PAUS there’s “no reason, no concept, no patience for bios.”
And they also say that “PAUS play together because they like each other and they need to make music. PAUS is the result of what these 4 people do with a couple of bears and their instruments.”
They also ask us to “forget all their members past and present bands. This is Joaquim Albergaria, Hélio Morais, Makoto Yagyu and João Pereira doing something new and fresh. And to understand what it is, the best way is to catch them live or listen to their debut EP.”
Dia 21 de Junho PAUS é feito disco com o nome “É Uma Água” e a Enchufada apadrinha uma das estreias que mais curiosidade tem suscitado no meio musical. À venda nas lojas FNAC do país. Dia 22 o EP está disponível nas lojas digitais do costume.
“É Uma Água” will be released in 21st of June and Enchufada is proud to be the home of one of the bands everyone’s talking about in the Portuguese music scene. And on June 22nd you can buy it at the usual digital shops.

VIDEO PREMIER: PAUS “MUDO E SURDO”
Abandoned water park in a beautifull sunny morning as we watch a gerational clash – MUDO E SURDO (translated to english means DUMB AND DEAF) is the video premier of the portuguese band PAUS.
WE WELCOME PAUS
PAUS is what happens when Joaquim Albergaria, Hélio Morais, Makoto Yagyu and João Pereira get together at the studio, along with a Siamese drum, a bass father than Greece’s deficit and keyboards that make you feel things.
Our kids in PAUS played and still play in other bands you may know and even like. But this is a new sound and it’s the sound we want you to listen. You may even like it. But one thing is certain, PAUS is love. Good people, good vibe, good music.
And that’s why we plugged them and will release their first record. The recordings are already finishing and the first semester is a sexy time to spread love.

Last month we celebrated the launch of E-SPAM001 at LUX (Lisbon) and PLANO B (PORTO) and the parties weren’t over until the sun came up!! We want to thank everyone who came to dance with us and specially our good friends Macacos do Chines, J-WOW, Douster, Zombies for Money, PAUS, Octa Push and DJ Riot whom made us crawl for more!!

We gathered artists from Lisbon to Luanda, put it all on a CD and called it E-SPAM.
There’s no concept. Just music that we like. The CD will be available with Blitz Magazine for Portugal in March and features songs from Buraka Som Sistema, Orelha Negra, PAUS, Macacos do Chinês, Octa Push, Roulet, and many more… The digital release will also be available on all the usual shops around the same time.
As you know we like to party, so we scheduled a couple of launch partyes to complete the package!!
On March 4th we take over Lux, in Lisbon, with a live performance from PAUS followed by a hand-full of DJ’s that will keep you busy all night!!!! Macacos do Chinês (DJ SET), J-WOW (Buraka Som Sistema), Zombies for Money and our guest of honor Douster. Douster is a French young producer who lives in Bueno Aires for the better part of the last 2 years. From remixing Rusko, Nouveau Yorican, Gucci Mane to his own Triassic EP he has produced something completly new and fresh. Lazer Bass Cumbia Reggaeton? Dance it to believe it.Check Douster’s Myspace and SoundCloud.
The next day, March 5th, it’s time to hit Plano B, in Porto! DJ Riot (Buraka Som Sistema), Octa Push (DJ SET) and an exclusive Live show from PAUS!
