Seeing that Earth offered infinite possibilities, he spent the following years visiting all sorts of cities, absorbing the local culture through music. As a teenager in the early 1990s he discovered Hardcore, Jungle and later US House music. His early experiments in electronic music were released on the seminal Jungle/D’n’B label, Reinforced. Seiji’s influence is now more keenly felt than ever, with myriad UK funky and contemporary garage producers referencing his work. He has now returned to underground dance music, presenting his own fresh and eccentric take on bass heavy music. 		<description><![CDATA[PRESENTS Diamond Bass (PT) After 2 years as a regular Dj in the major Clubs in Lisbon and Oporto (under a different name) Joel Ildefonso, aka Diamond Bass, decided to start having some more personal style on his sets by adding something produced by him. The taste for African and Brazilian sounds is easily explained due to the social and historical context of Portugal and the close relations in centuries with Africa and Brazil. The mix and inclusion of House music was a simple and natural step since the goal here is to bring traditional rhythms to the dancefloor in a way they make sense inside a Club. The major influences are between several actual projects such as Buraka Som Sistema, Daniel Haaksman, Radioclit, Batida, Douster, Schlachthofbronx,.. In production, Ableton is the weapon of choice and apart of some vocals (some because other are recorded by Diamond Bass himself ), all the rest are original productions made with heart and devotion! In clubs Diamond Bass sets are built up with House, Kuduro, Baile funk, Dubstep and anything that seems suitable at the time!
