Many wonder about the “black diamond” t-shirts that BSS have been wearing during concerts. The t-shirts are the result of the collaboration between BSS and Clone Propaganda. The brand release will happen at the same time as the album’s edition “Black Diamond”. By the way, the jacket that Kalaf wears doesn’t belong to the collection.

The concert’s graphics was brought up by Eat Sleep Work Play

Blaya (MC/dancer) has been joining the group since March.
Diamonds too can be caught in Brazil.

The theme “Kalemba (Wegue Wegue)” is still fresh for the audience, but it’s already a big success! Pongolove, the MC, sings it.

Lil’ John and Riot put the best of the DJ Set together with the best of a rock concert. These are the underlying principles of a Buraka concert.

“Dialectos de Ternura” was one of the big surprises of BSS for the audience at Alive. Pacman was there too.

For those questioning those things: The musical basis in the second verse by Pacman was inspired in the huge hit by Lil Wayne “A Milli”.

What a great night for music at this small yard called Portugal.

Muitos se questionam sobre as t-shirts do "diamante negro" que BSS tem vindo a exibir nos concertos. As t-shirts são resultado de uma colaboração entre BSS e a Clone Propaganda. O lançamento da linha será sincronizado com a edição do álbum "Black Diamond". Já agora o casaco que o Kalaf veste não faz parte da colecção.

Lil´John e Riot justapõem o melhor de DJ Set com o melhor de um concerto de rock. Estas são as duas regras base nos concertos de Buraka.

"Dialetos de Ternura" uma das muitas surpresas com que BSS brindou o público do Alive. Pacman fez questão de estar presente.

Para os que se perguntam sobre essas coisas. A base musical no segundo verso de Pacman foi inspirada no mega hit de Lil Wayne "A Milli".

“De lo mejorcito del Sónar este año.”
“Fue avasalladora la actuación de los disc-jockeys del Buraka Som Sistema con la crudeza de sus ritmos desnudos.” São as palavras do “El País” após um fim de semana em pleno do grupo português no festival Sónar 2008. Segue-se depois do jump algumas imagens.

Dia 1 - 10:00 de uma manhã de sexta. Embora ninguém tenha pregado o olho, o bom humor imperava. Na noite anterior tomámos de assalto o dance floor do Lux e numa sessão de dança desenfreada dividida com o Dj Diplo, transformámos Santa Apolónia na capital da música periférica e quem nos conhece sabe que não arredámos pé até ao nascer do sol.



A espera! Em tour a maior constante é a espera, pelos runners, pelo membro X que adormeceu ou ficou a pentear o cabelo, enfim... Mas não houve nenhum atraso dramático. Está tudo a rolar sobre rodas, estávamos a experienciar 15 anos de um dos festivais mais importantes do sul da Europa.



sound check... Nada a dizer, não existe glamour nenhum nisso. Talvez apenas 1,2,1,2 feedback na munição!





Enquanto se espera dá sempre tempo de pôr a conversa em dia com os artistas que dividem o palco connosco. Na foto temos Theo Parish, Dj e produtor de música electrónica originário de Detriot.

Adoramos quando isto acontece. Loucura generalizada e motivo para darmos 210%... O rapaz vestido de amarelo era um dos mais emocionados.

Mala (Digital Mystikz) curtiu seriamente o concerto e mais uma vez concluímos que o Dubstep e o Kuduro são farinha do mesmo saco.



A festa continuou no camarin, Moët & Chandon e muito Calipso dance...



Dia 2 - MIA e Spank Rock não deram sinal de vida, Bonde do Role apareceu em substituição e BSS DJ's estavam lá para mais uma vez incendiarem a plateia "con la crudeza de sus ritmos desnudos" como afirmou o jornal El Pais.



Uma das chaves do sucesso dos BSS é a equipa que nos acompanha. Meninos e Mininas se quiserem singrar no rock 'n' roll arranjem um(a) agente que no mínimo não se vista como um(a) contabilista.

Laura Taylor (Bonde do Role) fez algo que provavelmente alguns membros farão quando o disco Black Diamond chegar a platina!!! Será?



Dia 3 - Foi difícil encontrar energias para enfrentar a terceira noite em terras de Gaudi, mas depois do sono de beleza, estávamos prontos para mais uma madrugada de celebração musical.

These are the words of “El País” after a full weekend from the Portuguese band at the Sónar Festival 2008.
There are some pictures after the jump.

Day 1 - 10 AM, Friday morning. Although nobody slept, everybody was in a good mood. The previous night we had taken hold of the dance floor at Lux and in a wild dance session held together with DJ Diplo, Santa Apolonia became the capital of the peripheral music and those who know us, know we only left the dance floor after sunrise.



The wait! On tour what is always happening is the waiting, for the runners, for some members who fell asleep or were still combing their hair… Still, there wasn’t any tragic delay. Everything’s going on as settled; we were experiencing 15 years of one of the most important festivals in the South of Europe.



Sound check… No comments, there’s nothing glamorous about that. Maybe only 1,2,1,2, feedback on the materials!





While waiting, there’s always time to chat with the artists dividing the stage with us. In the picture we have Theo Parish, DJ and electronic music producer, from Detroit.

We love when this happens. Frenzy is everywhere and that’s why we wish to play at 210%... The boy dressed in yellow was one of the most thrilled ones.

Mala (Digital Mystikz) has truly enjoyed the concert and once again we get the feeling that Dubstep and Kuduro are the same thing.



The party continued at the dressing-room, Moët & Chandon and lots of Calipso dance…



Day 2 – Bonde do Role replaced MIA and Spank Rock since they didn’t show up and BSS DJ’s were there to once again set the audience on fire “con la crudeza de sus ritmos desnudos” as El País called it.



One of the reasons why BSS is so successful is due to the crew that comes along with us. Boys and girls, if you want to do well in rock ‘n’ roll, get an agent who at least doesn’t dress as an accountant.

Laura Taylor (Bonde do Role) has done something that most likely some members will do when the Black Diamond album gets platinum! Really?



Day 3 – It was hard to gather strength to face the third night in the Gaudi’s land, but after a good night sleep, we were ready to another dawn full of musical celebration.
