Os Macacos do Chinês são a nova aposta da Enchufada! O concerto de dia 10 de Janeiro no Lux foi o momento do lançamento do single Plutão, representativo de todo um trabalho a ser editado em álbum neste 2008.Este single é constituído por três temas - "Plutão", "Déjà-vu" e "Inspiração".

Marinado numa brincadeira de crianças, este projecto começa na Amadora, factor comum aos três membros fundadores, Miguel Pité, André Pinheiro e Pedro Silva. Mais tarde, juntam-se ao projecto tanto ao vivo como no estúdio Alexandre Talhinhas aka Al:x (dj membro dos Cooltrain Crew) e Tiago Morna.
Depois do lançamento do single, com um concerto que fez vibrar todo o público, basta somente aguardar pelo tão esperado álbum!

Macacos do Chinês are Enchufada’s new wager! The release of the single “Plutão” took place on the 10th January at Lux, and this was the result of a whole work that will be edited in 2008. This single has three tunes: “Plutão”, “Déjà Vu” and “Inspiração”.

Macacos do Chinês arose from a cosmic desire of reinventing Portuguese cookery and renewing its African, Arabic, Brazilian, Japanese influences as well as all other cultures touched by Portugal and to which it wasn’t indifferent. This project began as a joke, in Amadora, which is a detail shared in common by the three members, Miguel Pité, André Pinheiro and Pedro Silva. Later on, Alexandre Talhinhas aka Al:x (DJ of Cooltrain Crew) and Tiago Morna joined the project live as well as on studio. After the single’s release, along with a thrilling concert for the audience, we just have to wait for the so expected album!

O ano de 2007 foi um ano de repleto de sucessos para a Enchufada, unidade de criação artística e musical. A sequência dos eventos que se seguiram transpareceram o sucesso e a verdadeira aceitação que o projecto Buraka Som Sistema alcançou. Em Junho de 2007, foi a re-edição do EP “From Buraka to The World”, sucedendo-se a participação em alguns dos maiores festivais da Europa, tais como, Glastonbury e Bestival em Inglaterra, Roskilde na Dinamarca, EXIT na Sérvia e em muitas outras actuações pelo mundo fora.

Foi neste contexto de verdadeiro assalto musical que assinaram com a editora inglesa Modular, sendo o primeiro fruto desta colaboração a edição de um 12” com os temas: “Yah!”, “Sem Makas” e “Morte do Sonic” que teve edição em Maio de 2007.

A MTV também reconheceu a importância e o valor deste projecto demonstrando-o nas nomeações para “New Sounds of Europe” onde foram o projecto português seleccionado e conseguiram a sétima posição entre 19 candidatos, e na nomeação para “Best Portuguese Act”.

De tal forma este movimento encetado pelos Buraka Som Sistema em Portugal tem conseguido uma verdadeira legião de admiradores e aficionados pelo mundo fora que o novo álbum, que já se encontra na calha (com edição prevista no início de 2008, com o selo Modular) conta com muitas participações de luxo, quer do universo kudurista, quer do universo das novas tendências da música electrónica....

Dos espectáculos ao vivo as perspectivas não poderiam ser melhores, agora com a equipa de Mc’s com novos reforços, Lil’john, Riot, e Conductor estão a preparar um concerto incendiário, que vai arrebatar qualquer audiência com a energia e amplitude das suas frequências rítmicas e do seu enquadramento visual...

Assim, a Enchufada prepara-se para iniciar um novo capítulo no que toca a edição discográfica em Portugal.
Os objectivos para 2008 continuam a ser os mesmos, encontrar a excelência artística e solidificar a marca Lisboa, ou a sigla Lisbon Music Scene, como começa a ser conhecida no resto do mundo, em parte pelo resultado do sucesso alcançado pelo projecto Buraka Som Sistema.

No dia 10 de Janeiro de 2008, a Enchufada prepara-se para apresentar no Lux a noite HÁ PIPIS – UMA RECEITA ENCHUFADA.

A receita a ser apresentada no Lux trás no menu o grupo Macacos do Chinês, com o lançamento do single “Plutão” a anteceder o Álbum de estreia para meados de 2008. As primeiras 500 pessoas a chegarem à festa têm a oferta do single.

Seguem-se os Buraka Som Sistema DJ+MC SET. Apresentarão aquilo que têm vindo a fazer nos clubs, um pouco por toda Europa, divulgando o que de melhor se tem criado no universo da música urbana-periférica, conseguindo desta forma uma verdadeira legião de admiradores e aficionados pelo som do colectivo.

De Londres chega Sinden, cúmplice activo na promoção das produções da Enchufada. O remix do tema Yah! para BSS, em conjunto com Count Of Monte Cristal, com edição da Modular para início de 2008, é prova disto.

Tudo começou quando André e Miguel, ao ouvirem linguagens do mosaico das músicas urbanas como o grime e o dubstep londrino, experimentaram criar uma batida dentro daquele género, tendo nascido assim o primeiro tema, “Déjà-vu”. Mais tarde, juntou-se Pedro Silva que, ao cantar em crioulo, fazia com que a junção funcionasse. O Mc convidado que apoia Miguel Pité nas actuações ao vivo é Espectro Cliché, André Madeira.
Pouco tempo depois de terem criado uma página no myspace, começaram a surgir convites. Integraram a compilação “Novos Talentos FNAC 2007”, com o tema “Inspiração” e receberam o surpreendente convite para actuar em Londres no Festival Atlantic Waves 2007, a 8 de Novembro.
A sua música, com influências diversas, desde o grime, dubstep, hip-hop, ambientes orientais, guitarras portuguesas aos ritmos kuduro, reflecte a multiplicidade de expressões urbanas pós-hip-hop e o arriscar em mesclas e linguagens que contribuem com novos elementos para uma música popular portuguesa. Com o single “Plutão”, os Macacos vincam a sua vontade de que agora seja sempre a subir pela cadeia alimentar acima, até que o macaco esteja a par com os outros crescidos.

2007 was pretty successful for Enchufada, centre of artistic and musical creation. The sequence of events that followed expresses the success and acceptance that the project Buraka Som Sistema has reached. In June 2007 there was the reedition of the EP “From Buraka to the World”, followed by the participation in some of the most important festivals in Europe, such as Glastonbury and Bestival in England, Roskilde in Denmark, EXIT in Serbia and many other performances worldwide.

On the aftermath of all this, they signed a contract with the English company Modular, which resulted in a 12’’ edition with the following songs: “Yah!”, “Sem Makas” and “Morte do Sonic”, edited on May 2007.

MTV also acknowledged the importance and value of this project by nominating it for “New Sounds of Europe”, where they were the Portuguese project chosen and they stood in the 7th place among 19 candidates and were even nominated for “Best Portuguese Act”.

The success of BURAKA SOM SISTEMA has been so great and has gathered so many fans so far that the new album (foreseen to be edited in 2008) is full of splendid guests, not only from the world of Kuduro but also from the new electronic music trends…

The live shows stand a good chance to be a success, especially now that the team of MC’s has new members, Lil’ John, Riot and Conductor – the three are preparing an exciting concert which will certainly delight any audience with its usual energy and rhythm as well as its visual framing…

Therefore, Enchufada is setting forth to begin a new page as far as discographic editing in Portugal is concerned.
2008 aims are exactly the same: to find artistic excellence and strengthen the Lisbon brand or the acronym Lisbon Music Scene, as it’s beginning to be recognized worldwide, partly because of the success of the project BURAKA SOM SISTEMA.

On January 10th 2008 Enchufada will introduce at Lux the PIPIS NIGHT – A RECIPE BY ENCHUFADA.

The recipe introduces Macacos do Chinês with the single’s release “Plutão” which precedes the albums debut by mid 2008. The first 500 people arriving to party get the single for free.

BURAKA SOM SISTEMA DJ+MC SET follow next. They will perform what they have been doing at the clubs, around Europe – spreading the best of the urban-peripheral music universe: the result is a huge number of fans loving the sound of the collective.

From London comes Sinden, an active accomplice in promoting Enchufada’s productions and the remix of “Yah!” for BSS together with Count of Monte Cristal confirms it.

It all began when André and Miguel, after listening to urban songs like Londoner grime and dubstep, tested a similar beat - the result was the first song “Déjà Vu”. Later on, Pedro Silva joined them and because he sang in Creole everything worked perfectly. Espectro Cliché (André Madeira) is the guest MC who backs Miguel Pité in his live performances.
They started getting invited shortly after having a new page on myspace. They appeared in the compilation “New FNAC Talents 2007” with the single “Inspiração”, being surprisingly invited to perform in London at the Atlantic Waves 2007 Festival, on November 8th.
His multi-influenced music, from grime, dubstep, hip-hop, oriental surroundings, Portuguese guitars in Kuduro rhythms, reflects the multiplicity of urban expressions post hip-hop and it ventures into languages and mixes that contribute with brand new elements for a popular Portuguese music. With “Plutão”, Macacos wish to be even more successful until the monkey is ready to be levelled with other grown-ups.
