NAVE MÃE (PT)

Nave Mãe (Portuguese for Mothership) landed in Oporto to shake the foundations of the city’s nightlife. After a decade on the frontlines of the Oporto hip-hop scene as Fidbek, part of the MatoZoo band and the now defunct label Matarroa – both important names in the Portuguese rap scene – his focus gradually shifted from the microphone to the turntables as the sounds of the bass music scene took over.

He reinvented himself with this new project and began exploring the bass-heavy sonic universe of the British underground scene, bridging the gaps between dubstep (and all its myriad subgenres), house and techno, while balancing the freshest new tunes with the classics of yesteryear.
