Enchufada takes the reins of Lisbon’s number one club Lux on September 21 for yet another night of tropical madness on the dancefloor. As always, we’ve prepared something extra special for the Lisbon clubbers to get their globalized bass fix by inviting some of the key players of this global ghetto revolution.
Straight out of London and for the very first time in Lisbon comes Night Slugs affiliate and epic producer Girl Unit, bringing with him the amazing sounds that helped reshape the UK bass music scene. You’ve probably sang along to bangers like Wut or danced your ass off to Shade On on many bass-centric DJ sets in the past few years, so now we bring you the man himself to show us what makes him dance.
Also for the very first time in Portugal comes Londoner Jago Pearson aka Zulu, eager to show you his fresh new Enchufada release, I.N.C.L.E.H. As you can hear on the new E-Radio mixtape, this 19-year-old producer and DJ is a natural at blending wild africanized rhythms and heavy basslines, promising to deliver a very interesting debut.
Hard Ass Session commander and Buraka Som Sistema founding member BRANKO (ex-J-WOW) returns to the bill to deliver his trademark sonic assault of unpredictable global rhythms, collected on his travels around the world. There’s no telling what he’ll do on the debut of his new moniker, so just be prepared to sweat a lot on the dance floor. Last but not least we’ve got yet another Hard Ass Sessions debut with Bizt, a Portuguese producer and DJ who’s been bitten by the tropical bug a long time ago. After hearing his debut EP Tiger on Tunacat Records, we knew we had to bring him along to show us his moves.
